Attention: Student Councils and Vocational Student Organizations

Please note that we teach a variety of subjects concerning Leadership. Following is a sampling of programs for leadership training and new student orientation programs. All sessions are customized according to desired theme and time allotment.

What is Leadership?

Changing minds…empowering students
We all live within a definition of what we think leadership is. This workshop is a definitional workshop designed to encourage organizational change through the 5 changes in the definition of leadership.

  1. Leadership is about actions and choices not about positions or titles
  2. Leadership is a learned skill not an innate ability
  3. Leadership is about influence within an organization not just the tasks assigned.
  4. Leadership is about the success of an organization not the glory of an individual
  5. Leadership is about vision for the future not the maintenance of the past

Getting Things Done
Building systems....teaching follow-through
Organizations accomplish goals and do their work within the framework of systems. This is a workshop designed to provide planning and follow through systems to help organizations to be more productive.

The seven steps for effective planning:
  • Vision - Defining purpose, passion, and values (what would you like the future to look like?)
  • Dream - Exploring the possibilities (If we could do anything to build our vision, what would we do?)
  • Focus - Making choices of how we spend our resources. (How do we want to spend our time and money? Does it reflect our vision?)
  • Aim - Set goals and objectives ( Is it specific, measurable, appropriate, reasonable, and do we have a timetable?)
  • Plan - Delineate the steps needed to accomplish the short and long term goals. (What is the strategy to accomplish our plan?)
  • Build - Establish organizational structure to implement the plan. (Who does what, when and how)
  • Manage - Establish a follow up plan to make sure what needs to get done, gets done.
